Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer provides engineering support, troubleshooting, and subject‑matter expertise to the Facilities Operations, Utilities, and HVAC teams in a regulated pharma environment. You will work on clean‑room utilities, HVAC systems, and related equipment to ensure reliable operation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, specify, and install cGMP clean and grey utilities, HVAC equipment, piping, ducting, and control systems.
• Manage small‑to‑mid sized projects related to utilities and HVAC services.
• Troubleshoot complex plant equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support design reviews, site acceptance, and equipment installation.
• Prepare design documents and assist the QA Validation team with protocol execution.
• Investigate utility system anomalies, control system issues, and safety incidents.
• Implement corrective and preventative actions for equipment and maintenance processes.
• Develop engineering evaluations, test plans, and modification change‑control documentation.
• Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications for maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and policies.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and work in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.
• Experience in the pharma/biotech industry is preferred.
