Field Service Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support rotating equipment and industrial biomass boilers for a leading renewable‑energy company. The role involves travelling to customer sites across Ireland and Scotland, performing planned and reactive maintenance while receiving on‑the‑job training on bespoke machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance (RM) on rotating equipment and biomass boilers.
• Perform servicing, inspections and repairs on site, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Provide on‑call support on a rotating 1‑in‑4‑weeks schedule.
• Document work performed and report any issues to the engineering team.
• Travel to various locations and stay overnight when required.

Required profile

• Experience working with rotating equipment in an industrial setting.
• Willingness to travel frequently and stay away from home as needed.
• Ability to work independently and respond to on‑call duties.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Maintenance of rotating equipment.
