Finance Manager – Global P2P Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the global P2P Accounts Payable function at H&MV Engineering. The role will oversee invoice processing, supplier payments, expenses, and related activities across the organisation, ensuring operational excellence and strong financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate, efficient, and controlled delivery across invoices, supplier payments, queries, expenses, credit cards, and related P2P activities.
• Manage the AP Operations Delivery team, overseeing day‑to‑day execution, workload management, KPI performance, issue resolution, and service quality.
• Oversee global process owners for AP, Expenses, Hire and Travel, maintaining clear ownership, consistent standards, and improvement plans.
• Supervise invoice processing, payment runs, approvals, release governance, supplier onboarding queries, expense and credit‑card processes, hire‑related processes, and manual interventions.
• Own operational management of supplier payments, including timetables, approvals, exception handling, urgent payment controls, and communications.
• Monitor AP and payment performance metrics such as aged items, backlogs, blocked invoices, unmatched invoices, query volumes, timeliness, and exception trends.
• Ensure compliance with AP controls, approval workflows, segregation of duties, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Partner closely with Procurement to align P2P processes, purchase orders, approvals, supplier onboarding, invoice matching, and related activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global Accounts Payable or Procure‑to‑Pay functions.
• Strong background in financial controls, risk management, and audit compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, distributed teams and drive KPI‑based performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially with Procurement and finance partners.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives in a complex, multinational environment.
