Financial Accountant – 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Phorest is seeking a driven Financial Accountant to join its global SaaS finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will be responsible for delivering fully reconciled monthly management accounts and providing insightful variance analysis across multiple international jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of key P&L accounts and prepare robust balance‑sheet reconciliations each month.
• Manage international tax filings and compliance reporting across several regions.
• Conduct revenue analysis for seven distinct financial jurisdictions.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements, focusing on automation and AI tools.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changing accounting, reporting and auditing standards.
• Support the year‑end audit to ensure timely delivery of Group Financial Statements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet financial timelines.

Required profile

• Third‑level degree (2.1 or higher) in Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA).
• 2+ years of post‑qualification experience within a corporate finance team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong capability with Google Sheets.
• Experience with NetSuite (highly advantageous).
• Familiarity with G‑Suite tools.
