Financial Accountant (15‑month Fixed‑Term, Hybrid)

About the role

Tirlán is seeking a Financial Accountant on a 15‑month fixed‑term basis to join its dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Accounting & Reporting Overheads Manager, you will focus on the preparation and reporting of statutory accounts for overhead functions across manufacturing, supply chain and support areas.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting, reporting and control activities for assigned overhead categories.
• Execute robust month‑end close processes and produce accurate monthly management accounts.
• Analyse and comment on monthly statutory accounts, reporting findings to senior finance leaders and plant managers.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for overhead cost centres.
• Support purchasing compliance, grant applications and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate with the Transformation team to drive process improvements and finance automation.
• Prepare and analyse balance‑sheet items, including accruals and pre‑payments, and contribute to statutory reporting schedules.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with a professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience in a large multinational environment is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and a process‑driven mindset.
• Ability to identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Excellent operational acumen.
