Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team at TLI Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and support month‑end and year‑end activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Perform general ledger accounting, balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end close activities.
• Prepare accruals, pre‑payments, VAT, RTD, Intrastat and RCT/CIS returns.
• Produce weekly headcount, profit & loss commercial reporting and labour allocation reports.
• Reconcile bank, revenue, debtor and creditor balances and align weekly project reports with monthly actuals.
• Set up leases and HP agreements, manage inventory and fixed assets within the ERP system.
• Assist with year‑end audit, budgeting and maintain finance mailboxes.
• Validate internal controls and drive process efficiencies through Excel modelling and system upgrades.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple demands and tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
• Target‑driven, proactive and collaborative with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• ERP knowledge (advantageous).
• Microsoft Word.
• Microsoft Excel (including advanced modelling).
• Microsoft PowerPoint.
