Financial Accountant (Trading)

About the role

A leading global financial services organisation is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join its finance team. The role offers exposure to trading operations, financial markets and complex reporting within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial reporting, P&L and balance‑sheet analysis for regulated entities
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior stakeholders
• Support statutory accounts preparation and year‑end audit processes
• Manage inter‑company accounting and balance reconciliations
• Assist with fair‑value accounting and financial instrument reporting under IFRS
• Partner with operational and business teams to deliver financial insights and analysis
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and control enhancements

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• 2+ years post‑qualified or relevant finance experience
• Strong financial reporting and accounts preparation skills
• Experience working with auditors and preparing audit support schedules
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
• Exposure to financial services, capital markets, investment management or financial services audit is advantageous
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven, collaborative environment
