Financial Accounting Assistant

About the role

Indaver is seeking a Financial Accounting Assistant to support its finance team in Dublin. The role focuses on external reporting, general ledger maintenance, pay‑run creation and assisting the Accounts Payable function within a fast‑growing waste‑management business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare VAT return reports, reconcile VAT accounts in SAP and review tax codes.
• Generate and process pay runs for multiple entities, currencies and payment types.
• Respond to vendor queries, update vendor master data and maintain payment documentation.
• Perform month‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations and provide variance analysis for each GL code.
• Support the Accounts Payable team with invoice posting, document processing and vendor reconciliations.
• Prepare audit backup files and assist with auditor inquiries.
• Administer purchase/credit card records and ensure proper filing/archiving.

Required profile

• Degree or accounting qualification.
• Minimum two years of experience in a finance team with general‑ledger responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and experience with ERP/Accounting systems.

Required skills

• SAP accounting module.
• Microsoft Excel (advanced) and MS Office.
• ERP/Accounting system experience.
• VAT processing and reporting.
