Financial Analyst II - Business Partnering

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. It is recruiting a Financial Analyst II in a business partnering role in Dublin, working in a hybrid setting. The position suits a newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant or analyst, or someone moving from practice (Big 4 or Top 10) into industry, offering commercial exposure and structured career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client reports covering financial analysis, forecasting, metrics and dashboards to support clients' financial planning and month-end processes.
• Partner with Operations teams to review the financial health of studies.
• Conduct financial reviews to identify and drive actions across stakeholder groups.
• Prepare an internal monthly study report documenting key financial risks and mitigating actions.
• Prepare internal monthly financial reporting packages and forecasts for operations, with commentary and analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with good experience analysing financial data and trends.
• Experience assisting a Finance Manager with information requests.
• Auditing and assurance experience is beneficial.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

• Good systems experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
