Financial Controller – Dublin

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established global brand to strengthen its finance leadership team in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will help shape the finance function while managing a small, high‑performing team in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts and group reporting submissions.
• Oversee financial controls, governance, and the implementation of finance policies and procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements.
• Provide financial insight and support to key stakeholders across the business.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Mentor and develop members of the finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 6+ years post‑qualification experience.
• At least two years’ experience in a large or multinational organisation.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a finance team.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑moving business environment.

Required skills

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Experience with Business Intelligence reporting tools (advantageous)
