Financial Controller – Full‑Time, Permanent

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced, commercially‑focused Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support the company’s continued growth. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and the implementation of robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day finance function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and deliver insightful financial analysis.
• Produce accurate, timely financial reports for senior management.
• Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles.
• Monitor and optimise cash‑flow, working capital and treasury activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.
• Coordinate the annual audit and maintain strong internal controls.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to support strategic decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, overseeing payroll, VAT, corporation tax and other compliance obligations.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• 5+ years post‑qualified experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
• Proven experience managing audits and statutory compliance.
• Excellent budgeting, forecasting and financial planning abilities.
• Leadership, communication and team‑management skills.
