Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the day‑to‑day finance function at T.E. Laboratories (TelLab) in Tullow. The role combines hands‑on accounting, process optimisation and strategic reporting to support a fast‑growing business within the Celnor Group.

Key responsibilities

• Own and accelerate the month‑end close, delivering management accounts within six working days and uploading reports to the Celnor Group finance hub.
• Perform rigorous monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, inter‑company and foreign‑currency account reviews.
• Provide detailed variance analysis against budget, highlighting efficiencies and cost overruns.
• Prepare group consolidation entries, including deferred considerations, goodwill, accrued income and deferred revenue under FRS 102.
• Maintain and optimise the SAP‑B1 ERP architecture to reduce manual data entry.
• Design and enforce internal financial controls to mitigate risk, fraud and revenue leakage.
• Oversee project accounting, time‑billing, utilization and deferred‑revenue tracking.
• Produce weekly 13‑week cash‑flow forecasts for the CFO, CEO and Group finance team.
• Manage the order‑to‑cash process, driving down Days Sales Outstanding and supervising credit control.
• Supervise accounts payable, working closely with the supply‑chain team.
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and lead audit preparation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with solid experience in month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage a small finance team in a high‑growth environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and comfort with variance analysis and cash‑flow modelling.
• Excellent understanding of group consolidations and FRS 102 accounting standards.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP‑B1 or similar ERP systems.
