Financial Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the implementation of the AccountsIQ ERP system while managing the day‑to‑day finance function. The role provides accurate, timely financial information to support strategic decision‑making across industrial electrical contracting, control modules, and panel manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end AccountsIQ implementation, develop project plans, coordinate stakeholders, manage risks and report progress.
• Review and redesign finance processes, standardise workflows and ensure internal controls.
• Plan and execute data migration from legacy systems, validate opening balances and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow reports with clear commentary.
• Develop and maintain job costing systems, track labour, materials and subcontractor costs, and produce contract margin reports.
• Drive budgeting, rolling cash‑flow forecasts and variance analysis against targets.
• Oversee payroll, VAT, statutory compliance and support external auditors.
