Financial Controller – Lead Finance Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing Irish accountancy and advisory firm. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will manage a multi‑site finance team and drive strategic financial insight across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all finance operations including management accounts, cash flow, AP/AR, fixed assets, tax and payroll.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analyses to support decision‑making.
• Manage statutory compliance, tax filings, audited financial statements and the annual external audit process.
• Lead continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and controls while mentoring the finance team.
• Partner with senior leadership on acquisitions, integrations, due‑diligence, banking relationships and growth projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with at least 8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven background in a professional services environment such as an accountancy practice or legal firm.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly motivated, proactive and able to thrive in a fast‑paced setting while handling multiple priorities.
