Financial Controller – Manufacturing – Dublin

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join the senior leadership team of a long‑established Irish manufacturing business. The role combines commercial insight with operational finance responsibilities and offers a clear path to Finance Director as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes.
• Oversee all costing activities and compare actuals against budgets.
• Handle statutory filings and manage the year‑end close in liaison with group auditors.
• Provide oversight of the IT function.
• Evaluate and prepare proposals to support business development.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) with experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
