Financial Controller – Manufacturing (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to lead the finance function of an exporting Irish SME in the manufacturing sector. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage day‑to‑day finances and contribute to commercial growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of quarterly and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Review and present monthly management accounts, providing insightful analysis of financial performance and trends.
• Partner with the operations team to drive performance, support project execution, and improve commercial outcomes.
• Maintain VAT compliance and stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, monitor liquidity, and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Prepare high‑quality quarterly and annual financial reports in line with internal and external requirements.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve robust financial controls and processes.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a commitment to continuous learning.
