Financial Controller – Market‑Leading Irish Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a market‑leading privately owned Irish company based in the South East. The role offers high visibility with senior leadership and the chance to influence strategic financial decisions during a period of strong growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and year‑end financial statements.
• Develop presentations and insightful financial analysis to support senior‑management decision‑making.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term strategic plans.
• Provide financial support and commercial insight to operational teams across the business.
• Monitor overheads, identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive efficiency initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement projects within the finance function.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders and external advisors on ad‑hoc commercial and strategic finance projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Training in a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting practice.
• Industry experience in a commercial business environment.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
