Financial Controller – Motor (Automotive)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a growing automotive business in Dublin. This senior position will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and supporting the company’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day‑to‑day finance function.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide commercial and operational financial insight to senior leadership.
• Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and governance processes.
• Monitor cashflow, reconciliations, and overall financial performance.
• Support strategic decision‑making and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with external auditors, advisors, and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and support members of the finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within the motor, automotive or environment sector is advantageous.
• Must hold an Irish/EU passport or a Stamp 4 visa.
