Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Food & Beverage Supervisor reports to the F&B Manager and is responsible for delivering efficient, professional service in line with company standards. The role oversees the food and beverage team, ensuring smooth daily operations, high customer satisfaction, and adherence to health, safety and brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain SOPs to guarantee consistent superior customer service.
• Handle customer feedback, including complaints and compliments, to improve service quality.
• Monitor departmental budgets, control payroll rotas and manage operating costs.
• Supervise day‑to‑day operations, ensuring shift controls, cleaning schedules and brand standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety (HACCP), licensing laws and employment legislation.
• Drive departmental sales and profit through promotions, upselling and staff training.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team on menu knowledge and service delivery.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness, personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Participate in training programmes and uphold the hotel’s customer relation policy.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising food & beverage teams in a hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of SOPs, HACCP and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets, payroll scheduling and cost control.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to resolve feedback.
• Effective communication with kitchen staff, management and guests.
• Commitment to training, coaching and motivating staff.
