Foodhall Manager – Dunboyne

About the role

The Foodhall Manager will lead Avoca’s Foodhall in Dunboyne, driving sales, margins and operational excellence while delivering a high-quality customer experience. This full-time, on-site role reports to senior store management and is responsible for a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Foodhall team to meet and exceed sales, margin and operational targets.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve escalated queries professionally.
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Manage cash handling, reconciliation and compliance with company policies.
• Control stock ordering, minimise waste and ensure product availability.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards throughout the department.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop staff to build an engaged, high-performing team.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, health and safety, and other regulatory standards.
• Plan rotas, coordinate breaks and allocate resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with the wider management team to achieve commercial objectives.
