Forward Deployed Software Engineer – EU

About the role

Outset is building AI‑powered user interview technology that helps global brands gather qualitative insights at scale. As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer you will work closely with sales and support teams to drive the company’s expansion across the European Union, delivering custom features and technical support for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and customer support to accelerate Outset’s EU market penetration.
• Interface directly with customers to collect feedback, define requirements, and implement tailored features.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical assistance, resolving issues promptly.
• Design, develop, and optimize user‑friendly front‑end interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Build robust back‑end services, APIs, and real‑time data processing pipelines with Python and Django.
• Maintain and improve the in‑house Large Language Model and real‑time interview technology.
• Lead customer‑facing projects from conception through production deployment, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production‑grade front‑end and back‑end systems.
• Proven experience in a customer‑facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
