Fresh Food Area Manager

About the role

This is a field‑based, senior position responsible for overseeing fresh food operations across multiple stores in Leinster, Ireland. You will drive sales, profitability and operational excellence while ensuring high standards of food safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coach Store Managers and Fresh Food Managers across the region.
• Implement fresh food strategies and ensure consistent execution.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as sales, margin, waste, labour and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety and other regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities to enhance product offering, merchandising and the customer experience.
• Deliver training, coaching and development programmes for store teams.
• Conduct regular store visits, audits and operational reviews.
• Support new store openings, refits and fresh food development projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Fresh Food Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager or Retail Operations role.
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of improving sales and margins.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people‑development skills.
• Full clean driving licence.

Required skills

• HACCP knowledge and food safety compliance.
