Full-Stack JavaScript Developer (Remote, Ireland)

About the role

Our client, a leading international financial services organization in the insurance sector, is looking for a Full‑Stack JavaScript Developer to join a distributed engineering team. The role is fully remote, but candidates must reside in Ireland and have the right to work there.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance full‑stack applications using JavaScript, React, NodeJS and NestJS.
• Contribute to multiple projects across the client’s technology portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design scalable software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities and deployment processes.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply security and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Share knowledge and foster engineering excellence within the team.
• Actively take part in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM field with at least 1 year commercial development experience, or relevant certifications with 3+ years experience.
• Hands‑on experience in full‑stack development using JavaScript, React, NodeJS and NestJS.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, MongoDB).
• Experience working in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP).
• Understanding of SDLC best practices and ability to communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and commitment to code quality.
