Full-Time Sports & Social Instructor (30 hrs/week)

About the role

Lakers Sports and Social is seeking a full‑time Sports & Social Instructor to design and deliver inclusive activities for its junior and adult members with intellectual disabilities. Working 30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, you will help participants build confidence, social skills, and fitness through a variety of sport, arts, and life‑skill sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and deliver weekly sports, arts, crafts, social skills and cookery sessions.
• Collaborate with the Programme Manager and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of activities.
• Provide guidance and support to members, their families, volunteers and work‑experience students.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Assist in creating curriculum and updating the class calendar.

Required profile

• Experience working with children, young people or adults with disabilities.
• Computer literacy and a genuine respect for diversity.
• Flexible, responsible, mature attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an approachable, empathetic manner.
