General Core Instructor – English

About the role

The Technical College System of Georgia seeks a dedicated General Core Instructor to teach English courses to students at Oconee Fall Line Technical College in Dublin, GA. This full‑time, exempt position offers the chance to shape curriculum and support student success in a vibrant technical education environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction for English courses to OFTC students.
• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Assess and evaluate student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Maintain required supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Ensure compliance with program certification and safety standards.
• Prepare and submit administrative reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and fellow educators on instructional matters.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in English or a related field, with at least 18 graduate hours in English.
• Demonstrated competency in teaching English at secondary or postsecondary level (preferred).
• Ability to develop curricula, assess student performance, and maintain accurate records.
• Willingness to work day and evening hours and travel to satellite locations as needed.
