General Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a proactive US‑bar‑admitted General Counsel to lead our in‑house legal function across three distinct business streams: a top‑5 direct‑to‑consumer e‑commerce brand, a family office investing in hedge funds, and cross‑border legal structuring for multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own critical legal domains and drive strategic decisions without bureaucratic layers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee legal compliance for the DTC e‑commerce brand, including FTC and consumer‑protection matters.
• Manage fund‑related legal work for the family office, such as subscription documents, custody protocols, and LP negotiations.
• Lead cross‑border structuring initiatives, coordinating with outside counsel across international jurisdictions.
• Conduct monthly legal exposure audits and quarterly compliance sweeps for all consumer‑facing operations.
• Negotiate hedge‑fund side letters, fund documentation, and other high‑value agreements.
• Maintain and expand relationships with external counsel across all domains.

Required profile

• Active admission to the US bar.
• Extensive experience in corporate, regulatory, and securities law, preferably with exposure to e‑commerce and hedge‑fund environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple legal domains simultaneously and deliver strategic counsel to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of identifying material legal risks.
• Willingness to work remotely with significant overlap with EMEA time zones.

• Base compensation up to USD 220,000 per year plus a performance bonus of up to 10% monthly, for a total package up to USD 246,800.
