General Manager – Restaurant

About the role

This position is for a fast‑growing American QSR chicken brand seeking an experienced General Manager to take full ownership of a high‑volume restaurant. You will lead the team, drive commercial performance, and ensure a consistently great guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own all aspects of restaurant performance, including sales, labour, food costs, profitability, audits, and brand standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop the management team and crew, building a pipeline of future leaders.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, health & safety, and employment legislation.
• Deliver excellent food quality, speed of service, and customer experience daily.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, development plans, and succession planning.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, inventory, and waste management.
• Create labour schedules that meet demand while staying within budget.
• Use operational and financial data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Foster a positive, energetic culture for customers and team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a General Manager in a branded, high‑volume QSR or fast‑casual restaurant.
• Strong operational knowledge with a focus on food safety, quality, and cleanliness.
• Proven track record of sales growth while managing P&L and costs.
• Experience with labour planning, stock management, and inventory systems.
• People‑first leader who enjoys developing teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adapt quickly to change.
