General Operative – Food Production

About the role

Join Sofina Foods as a General Operative on a fast‑moving production line in Fethard. You will help manufacture high‑quality meat and seafood products in a safety‑focused, team‑oriented environment. This full‑time permanent position offers a stable start or a stepping stone for a career in food production.

Key responsibilities

• Verify product specifications such as size, weight and colour.
• Adjust machine settings to match product types and production requirements.
• Report any machinery or product faults promptly to the team leader.
• Support meat processing to required specifications.
• Pack and label finished goods accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness according to company procedures.
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations at all times.
• Operate in line with strict food safety and quality guidelines.
• Adapt to different roles or areas on the production floor as needed.

• Ability to work at pace and meet production targets.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
