General Operative – Production Team

About the role

The General Operative will join a production line to help meet daily output, waste, yield and efficiency targets. Working under the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure that all processes run smoothly, safely and in line with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets for output, waste, yield, efficiency and start‑up time as part of a team.
• Accurately record production data (downtime, waste, process sheets, non‑conformances) on the required sheets.
• Complete all quality tests and traceability steps according to protocols.
• Control and maintain production tools, probes and machine parts, reporting any missing or damaged items.
• Carry out food‑safety tasks to meet HACCP and health‑and‑safety requirements.
• Keep the work area and machines tidy, safe and hygienic.
• Operate equipment following training and approved SOPs.
• Suggest improvements and new initiatives for evolving processes.
• Ensure products are produced and packed to company and customer specifications.
• Report maintenance issues and communicate material needs to avoid line stoppages.

Required profile

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent understanding of food safety (HACCP) and health‑and‑safety processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Team‑oriented, flexible and proactive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal English.
