General Operator – Vinyl Floor Fitter

About the role

Vertiv is looking for a General Operator – Vinyl Floor Fitter to join its production team in Letterkenny. The role involves installing vinyl flooring in modular buildings and supporting day‑to‑day manufacturing activities in a structured, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install vinyl flooring within modular building units.
• Use engineering tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Carry out self‑checks and complete required manufacturing documentation.
• Identify and report defective or sub‑standard components.
• Complete Material Transfer Orders (MTOs) and support material ordering for assigned tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Adhere to all Quality, Health & Safety, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
• Work overtime or attend site work as required.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate according to established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable and safety‑conscious approach to work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering tools.
• Operation of workshop equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
