General Production & Maintenance Technician

About the role

The General Production and Maintenance Technician will support the build, upkeep and continual improvement of XOCEAN’s fleet of Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) and associated equipment. Working on‑site in Rathcor, you will ensure that mechanical systems, generators and hull structures are maintained safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and corrective maintenance in technical centres and on‑site workspaces.
• Install and fit out mechanical systems, including diesel generators and ancillary equipment on USVs.
• Service marine pumps, thrusters and other mechanical components.
• Manufacture test equipment, jigs and fixtures as required.
• Design and implement retrofit improvements to USVs.
• Perform minor GRP/composite, resin, gelcoat and structural repairs on hulls.
• Support research and development of new USV technologies.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Relevant marine or mechanical experience.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Ability to travel internationally without restriction.
• Valid work permit or visa for Ireland.
