Graduate Software Engineer – Manufacturing Applications

About the role

Coca-Cola Ballina is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join its manufacturing plant in Ballina, Co. Mayo. This 22‑month graduate program offers hands‑on experience developing and modernising software that supports a world‑class production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full software lifecycle from concept through deployment.
• Gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Debug application‑level code, produce bug reports and work with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues.
• Extend existing applications and modernise legacy code using modern development technologies such as DevOps.
• Collaborate with operations, quality and engineering teams to define infrastructure road‑maps.

Required profile

• 2025/2026 graduate with an honours degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working in team‑oriented, solution‑focused environments, including academic projects involving back‑end and front‑end development.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing systems is a plus.
