Group Financial Accountant

About the role

The Group Financial Accountant will join Atlantic Aviation Group’s finance team at Shannon Airport. This position is responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, supporting month‑end close activities and ensuring statutory compliance across all group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts for all group entities, meeting agreed deadlines.
• Support the month‑end close process, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and other adjustments.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items promptly.
• Produce monthly variance analysis, KPI reporting and commentary for senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial planning.
• Coordinate audit deliverables and liaise with external auditors during interim and year‑end audits.
• Support statutory financial statement preparation and related schedules.
• Assist with tax compliance activities, including VAT and Corporation Tax filings.
• Contribute to treasury and cash‑management functions, such as cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital analysis.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in group reporting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
