Group Financial Controller – Healthcare (Ireland)

About the role

This newly created position will support the CFO of a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed healthcare group that is acquiring nursing homes across Ireland. The role can be based in Kildare, the Midlands, Limerick, Galway or Cork and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts.
• Lead the statutory audit process.
• Provide insightful commentary on financial data.
• Develop financial models, including M&A scenarios.
• Set up and monitor internal controls.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.
• Oversee day‑to‑day tax compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record of delivering finance projects on tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a compliance‑focused mindset.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
