Group Financial Controller

About the role

BoyleSports is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead finance operations across its retail and online divisions. Reporting to the Finance Director and based at the Dundalk headquarters, the role ensures accurate reporting, strong internal controls and regulatory compliance across Ireland and the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial management including general ledger, accounts payable and treasury functions.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations and the consolidation of results from multiple jurisdictions.
• Control cash flow, optimise working capital and supervise cash‑management processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, audit and tax obligations in all operating jurisdictions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings promptly.
• Provide the Finance Director with financial analysis, commentary and KPI tracking to support senior‑level decision making.
• Partner with business units to deliver insights that improve profitability and operational performance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance operations team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on leader with extensive experience in financial operations within a regulated, multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Proven ability to deliver accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical and business‑partnering skills.
