Group Internal Auditor – Dublin

About the role

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Group Internal Auditor will provide assurance that internal controls across the organisation are effective, help minimise risk and recommend improvements. Based at the Dublin headquarters, the role involves regular travel to European, US and other global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Support internal audit assignments from initiation through to completion.
• Develop audit programmes and tests based on risk and control assessments.
• Evaluate existing policies, identify risks and recommend control enhancements.
• Conduct risk‑based audits of key business processes in line with professional standards.
• Perform audit procedures to test design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Document findings, prepare clear audit reports and agree action plans with management.
• Escalate significant issues to senior management and internal audit leadership.
• Monitor and follow‑up on audit recommendations until closure.
• Contribute to the development of the annual risk‑based internal audit plan.
• Maintain professional development in internal audit, IT and group systems.

Required profile

• Approximately three years of experience in internal auditing.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of internal audit standards and risk‑based auditing.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.
