Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the financial reporting and operational efficiency of a large international manufacturing group. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape financial strategy, partner with global sites, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Financial Reporting Team, fostering best‑practice and professional growth.
• Own the full reporting cycle (weekly, monthly, annual) for the Group, ensuring accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in Ireland, the UK and other European entities.
• Manage critical functions such as stock control, transfer pricing and treasury (banking, insurance and FX exposure).
• Contribute to the design and implementation of next‑generation financial reporting systems.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external auditors and key site leads.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 7 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in a large‑scale manufacturing or complex international environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insight.
