Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the financial strategy and performance of Plusvital Group, an Irish‑owned nutraceutical business focused on equine health. Reporting directly to the CEO and the Board, the role combines financial leadership with strategic support for growth, capital projects and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial reports.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.
• Conduct commercial analysis to improve business performance.
• Design KPIs and monitor performance against targets.
• Lead grant funding applications and ongoing management.
• Oversee external audit, banking relationships and professional advisors.
• Support strategic projects, acquisitions, partnerships and facility expansion initiatives.
• Ensure governance, compliance, risk management and robust financial controls.
• Partner with operational, manufacturing, supply chain and commercial teams to enable scalable growth.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset.
• Extensive experience in financial planning, reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Background in manufacturing, nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors is advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems, international trade and business‑growth projects is desirable.
