Head of Health Promotion, Information & Training

About the role

The Irish Heart Foundation is seeking a senior leader to head its Empower strategic pillar. The role will drive nationwide health‑promotion, prevention and CPR‑training programmes, ensuring they are evidence‑based, high‑impact and reach disadvantaged communities across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the Foundation’s Empower priorities into operational plans, KPIs and measurable outcomes, aligned with national health policies.
• Lead the development and delivery of health checks, health information, youth programmes and resuscitation training services.
• Oversee data‑driven service planning, impact measurement and continuous improvement of programmes.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, risk management and governance standards.
• Support the Resuscitation team in business development and income growth for CPR and training services.
• Identify and develop new interventions based on emerging evidence and technological innovations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in health promotion, disease prevention or public‑health training programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to create operational plans, set KPIs and deliver measurable health outcomes.
• Experience securing funding streams and managing budgets for large‑scale programmes.
• Strong understanding of national health policy and health‑inequality issues.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with public, voluntary and private partners.
