Head of HR – Europe

About the role

The Head of HR for the European Cluster will lead the human resources agenda across 24 European countries, supporting roughly 17,000 employees. Reporting to the Head of the European Cluster, this senior leader will shape HR strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive talent and culture initiatives across Banking, Wealth, Services, and Markets businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR leadership and high‑quality advice across all European countries.
• Maintain robust HR governance, controls, and risk‑mitigation processes.
• Align HR priorities with business, geographic, and legal entity requirements.
• Advise senior executives on complex people issues and multi‑year talent agendas.
• Design and implement resourcing, mobility, succession and retention plans for leadership roles.
• Lead cultural transformation, organization design, and post‑merger change management.
• Represent the Cluster with regulators, government bodies, unions, auditors and the Board.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR experience within a multinational, preferably financial services, environment.
• Deep knowledge of European HR regulations, talent management and organizational development.
• Proven ability to influence senior business leaders and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strong risk‑awareness and commitment to ethical standards and compliance.
