Head of Operations – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing FMCG start‑up with a strong export focus, is looking for a Head of Operations to lead a high‑end manufacturing site in County Meath, Ireland. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own the full P&L and be responsible for scaling output by 200‑300% over the next three years while maintaining the highest food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the multi‑functional site leadership team across production, quality, supply chain, finance and continuous improvement.
• Drive capacity expansion and capital projects to meet ambitious growth targets.
• Manage the site P&L, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Oversee end‑to‑end manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, service and cost objectives are achieved.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with food‑safety regulations and standards (BRCGS, HACCP, GMP) and lead all audit activities.
• Align production planning with export‑driven customer demand.
• Foster a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and development.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Successful track record of scaling operations in a high‑growth environment.
• Full site P&L responsibility experience.
• Deep knowledge of food‑safety standards and audit processes.
• Strong commercial acumen linking operational decisions to financial outcomes.
