Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to deliver professional HSE services across client organisations in the Greater Dublin Area. Reporting to the HESQ Consultancy Manager, you will support staff at all levels, ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and administer safety statements, risk assessments, environmental registers and related procedures.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 components of the Integrated Management System.
• Conduct and review risk assessments, implement control measures and monitor their effectiveness.
• Manage site Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans and ensure contractor safety arrangements.
• Provide health and safety advice on site/client projects and prepare required documentation.
• Perform DSE workstation assessments and manual handling risk assessments.
• Audit compliance with current health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Investigate and formally record accidents or incidents, producing reports for management and clients.
• Develop and deliver training on core HSEQ topics such as risk assessment, hazardous substances and fire safety.

Required profile

• Degree in Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and innovate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience delivering training.
