Healthcare Assistant

About the role

We are expanding our team at Kiltipper Woods Care Centre and are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support our nursing staff. The role involves delivering high‑quality resident and patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Staff Nurses. You may be scheduled for day or night shifts, working 39 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in the delivery of resident/patient care.
• Provide direct care to older persons, including those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
• Support step‑down, convalescence, and rehabilitation services.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Full QQI Level 5 in healthcare support or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience caring for older persons.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required beyond the qualifications and experience listed.
