Hotel Accountant / Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

Join the finance team at Mulranny Park Hotel as a Hotel Accountant / Assistant Financial Controller. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day accounting operations of the hotel while supporting the preparation of management accounts, budgets and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily income audits and reconcile cash, bank and credit‑card transactions.
• Process supplier invoices, maintain the purchase ledger and execute supplier payments.
• Manage debtor accounts and carry out credit‑control activities.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet and control accounts on a regular basis.
• Provide payroll assistance and prepare revenue returns.
• Prepare journal entries and compile monthly management accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and annual audit processes.
• Monitor purchasing controls and produce management reports.
• Assist with any additional finance office tasks as required.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant or accounting technician.
• 3–5 years of finance experience, preferably within hospitality.
• Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• High level of integrity and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Sage accounting software.
• Familiarity with Procure Wizard.
• Knowledge of Timepoint and Guestline systems.
