Hotel Concierge & Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a professional, customer‑focused Concierge to be the first point of contact for guests at The Salthill Hotel. This dual‑role position also includes security duties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, providing assistance with luggage, directions, local recommendations and general enquiries.
• Maintain a visible presence by monitoring guest access and conducting regular security patrols of the hotel and its grounds.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies and fire alarm activations in accordance with procedures.
• Liaise with hotel management as needed and ensure compliance with health & safety and security protocols.
• Support guest requests, assist other departments and keep accurate incident and security logs.

Required profile

• Valid Irish PSA Security Licence.
• Previous experience in hospitality, concierge, hotel security or customer service (desired).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional appearance.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle challenging situations confidently.
• Strong observational skills, attention to detail and flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
