Hotel Day Porter

About the role

Join the vibrant team at the Sheraton Athlone Hotel as a Day Porter. You will work closely with all hotel departments to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, prioritising excellent guest care.
• Assist with room service, transport guest luggage, and set up meeting rooms.
• Carry out regular security checks and participate in fire and accident drills.
• Familiarise yourself with the hotel layout, surrounding area and local amenities.
• Observe all safety rules, keep equipment in safe condition and report any incidents.
• Uphold the hotel’s customer relations policy and promote services to guests.
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance and professionalism.

Required profile

• Warm, engaging personality with a genuine passion for guest care.
• Over 18 years old and fully available on weekdays, weekends, days and evenings.
• Physically fit with stamina to move heavy equipment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Committed to delivering memorable stays and upholding hotel standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AV equipment (highly desirable).
