Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

Cashel Palace Hotel is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to preserve the standards of its 5‑star heritage property. You will support all hotel outlets by delivering prompt repairs and preventative upkeep, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and routine maintenance across all departments, covering plumbing, carpentry, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Log and resolve maintenance requests using the hotel’s Maintenance App.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks for the entire property.
• Work a 5‑day week (Monday‑Sunday) on either 8:00‑16:30 or 10:30‑19:00 shifts, with weekend duties on a rotating basis.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and keep the work area organised.
• Record all activities and repairs accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably within hotel or hospitality settings.
• Relevant trade qualifications and solid knowledge of health & safety standards.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a professional demeanor.
