HR Generalist Specialist

About the role

West is seeking an HR Generalist Specialist to join its dedicated team. The role starts fully onsite for training, then transitions to a hybrid schedule with 1‑2 days of remote work per week. You will support employees throughout their lifecycle, champion West’s culture, and help drive high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HR administration from onboarding to exit, including contracts, statements of employment, and leaver documentation.
• Coordinate and deliver the onboarding experience for new hires.
• Provide HR support across departments, handling data, employee relations issues, and general inquiries.
• Review, update, and ensure compliance of HR policies with Irish, EU, and West‑specific legislation.
• Assist with the implementation of global HR initiatives under HR leadership direction.
• Enter and maintain employee information in the HRIS system (hires, terminations, promotions, leaves, etc.).
• Support performance‑management cycles and related processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle HR administration and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation in Ireland and the EU.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
