Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist who values flexibility, autonomy and a steady pace. You will lead the People function for our client, working closely with the CEO and senior leadership while also handling light office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to advise on HR strategy, policies and employee engagement.
• Manage occasional employee‑relations cases (PIP, disciplinaries, grievances) in line with legislation, using external legal advice when needed.
• Support learning & development initiatives, coordinate performance‑review logistics, run annual engagement surveys and manage education budgets.
• Process monthly fixed‑pay payroll, maintain benefit programmes and liaise with finance for updates.
• Drive wellbeing programmes and organise company social events such as summer gatherings, holiday celebrations and bi‑annual away days.
• Oversee light office administration including supplier management, occasional travel bookings and stock orders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
• Relevant HR qualification or CIPD certification preferred.
• Practical experience in either payroll administration or employee relations (training provided for the other area).
• Approachable, outgoing and collaborative communicator who builds strong relationships.
• Self‑motivated, comfortable working independently and eager to suggest improvements.
