IAM System Administrator – Hybrid (6-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IAM System Administrator to lead a hybrid identity security hardening programme for a multinational client in Cork. The role is a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension, working in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of security baselines for Active Directory and Entra ID based on audit findings and compliance targets.
• Develop and enforce advanced Group Policy Objects and Conditional Access policies to reduce the identity attack surface.
• Manage Privileged Access Management frameworks, including Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management, and drive enterprise‑wide MFA roll‑outs.
• Collaborate with the Intune team to align device compliance baselines with identity security requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments before applying security policies to avoid service disruptions and evaluate downstream impacts on Intune, network segments, firewalls and OneDrive.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior Active Directory / Entra ID identity security engineer in complex hybrid environments.
• Track record of delivering end‑to‑end identity hardening projects driven by external audits or regulatory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the potential fallout from aggressive AD/Entra ID policy changes on networking and endpoint management.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as SC‑300, SC‑100 or AZ‑500.
